The work of Inuit artist Ningeokuluk Teevee brings the animals and legends of the far north to life, being Inspired by tales she heard as a child. The self-taught artist first appeared in the annual Cape Dorset collection of 2004, and since then she has developed into a prolific, versatile artist, exploring the traditions of the past with a contemporary touch. She features patterns in many of her drawings, examining the relationship between abstraction and representation. Original work is graphite and colored pencil on paper measuring 43 7/8 by 29 15/16 inches.
